The Sussex County YMCA announces a new partnership with the Sparta PAL. The collaboration will offer a variety of fitness and recreation classes for youth and adults that will be held at the Sparta PAL, 38 Station Road in Sparta.

“Our mission is to strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Collaborations such as this one support our mission because they open beneficial programs to members of the community who might not have been able to participate otherwise,” said Jennifer Garner, Executive Director at the Sussex County YMCA.

Programs will run for a four-week session beginning on May 20. Offerings include yoga, zumba, pilates and hip hop classes for adults, and Bitty Basketball, Pre-K Soccer Club, and Dance Club for youth. Each adult class is $37.50 for four weeks, and youth classes are $30 each. Membership is not required, and participation is open to the general public.

The collaboration is made possible due in large part to enthusiasm from Sparta Police Chief Ernie Reigstadt.
