Richard Lee Clark, 64, died unexpectedly Wednesday March 8, 2018. Mr. Clark, son of the late Lawrence and Lillie (Southard) Clark was born in Sussex. He grew up in Hamburg and has resided in Franklin since 1975.
Mr. Clark was a former District Warden for NJ Forest Fire Service in Sussex County. He also worked for Raia Industries in Hamburg and later for Dick’s Concrete in New Hampton, NY. He was an exempt member of the Franklin Fire Department, a member of the Wanderer’s Car Club and was formerly active with Hardyston Twp. Boy Scout Troop #187.
Mr. Clark was predeceased by a son, Michael Mackerley in 2009. He is survived by his fiancé, Jeanette Keiser; son, Nicholas Wilson of PA; sisters, Trinace Clark of Franklin, Melody Sonnema of NY and Cindy VanAcker of Hardyston; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday March 12, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-8:30 p.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St. Franklin. A funeral service will follow at 8:30 p.m. Cremation will be private. Fire Department services will be Monday 7:15 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Franklin Fire Department 137 Buckwheat Rd. Franklin, NJ 07416.
